They have an exciting opportunity for a new building surveyor to join their repairs and maintenance team. As a Building Surveyor you will be responsible for providing an effective high quality repairs service, as part of a busy team.

You will have responsibility for pre-inspection and post-inspection, monitoring of both repairs and variations to tenanted and void properties.

You will be an excellent communicator who is highly organised and be able to deliver a high quality service within demanding timescales.

Within your role you will liaise with contractors to resolve any problems and ensure all work is carried out to the required standard within budget. You will provide support to New Tenancy and Neighbourhood Service teams to minimise the void times of Northwards properties.

Most of your day will be out and about in the community meeting tenants in their homes, you will have the opportunity to update our systems whilst in properties and there will be some administration time required in the office. It is important that you have an ability to record information accurately and are confident using a variety of IT applications.

Minimum 3 years directly related experience in domestic building maintenance and CDM regulations would be required to satisfactorily undertake this role and you must have either the HNC or ONC in a building related field.

You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis.
