BActive Manchester (BAM) Active Volunteers and Befrienders.
BAM supports vulnerable families that have been affected by domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse issues, to become more active together; with an emphasis on overall wellbeing.
Come and join our team to run fun weekly and holiday sessions to increase activity, encourage wellbeing and bring families together. Our sessions include dance, ball skills and walks in the park as well as taster sessions with external coaches. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families whilst trying some new activities!
BAM are recruiting volunteers to support the team and we have two exciting volunteering roles.
BAM Active Volunteers support the BAM team to run our 12 week family programmes this includes helping set up the activities, welcoming, supporting and encouraging families to get involved by taking part in the sessions. Click here to find out more.
BAM Befrienders support our families 1:2:1 in the community by introducing them to activities. Click here to find out more.
We will offer full training, support, supervision and volunteers will need to complete a DBS which will we do.
Please contact the BAM Volunteer Coordinator for more information or an informal chat.
