Becoming a digital champion volunteer is a great way of getting new skills and experience, making a difference and taking a step towards your next job. You don’t have to be a computer expert! If you:
- are comfortable doing basic things online, like shopping, banking etc.
- can spare one and a half hours a week to volunteer during the day, Monday to Friday
- can get to at least one of our drop-in sessions in Newton Heath, Cheetham Hill, Blackley, Higher Blackley or Collyhurst
…we want to hear from you!
Being a digital champion is a great way to make a difference in your community. Many people find it difficult to use websites, missing out on things like cheap deals and job opportunities. Our digital champions are a big help to them.
And if you’re looking for work yourself, being a digital champion looks great on your CV – that’s why 85% of our working age volunteers have all gone on to get jobs.
Interested? If you'd like to know more before you apply, come and meet us at our recruitment event (details below), otherwise...
We're holding our ‘Digital Champions Recruitment Day’ on Tuesday 17 March, from 12.30pm - 2pm, at the yes centre, 115 Brisoe Lane, Newton Heath, M40 2TP.
You can meet other digital champions - as well as the stars of our video, Angela and Andrew - to find out more about what being a champion involves and how others have gone on to find work afterwards.
See you there if you can make it!
